All 4 FIRST programs come together for a massive 20,000+ student championship event held in the USA. It's considered the most prestigious student robotics event in the world and has even had the Black Eyed Peas holding a special concert just for FIRST plus the most amazing and dedicated volunteers coupled with FIRST staff make the who event an experience to remember.

Only 1 team slot is allocated for New Zealand's highest achieving FLL team, the Champion's Award winner. They represent New Zealand among the 60+ countries that participate in FIRST LEGO League among a total of around 84 teams.

The FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship hosts 128 teams from 20+ countries and we are privileged to have 2 slots allocated to New Zealand. Both the Inspire Award winner and Captain of the winning alliance from our NZ FTC Championship are invited to attend the FTC World Championship.

Only the most dedicated well rounded teams advance to the FIRST Championship.

NZ team FTC 5110 Wingus & Dingus made it all the way to division finals at the 2016 FTC World Championship competing alongside their alliance partners 6137 RoBoties and 4997 Masquerade.
